The pterygoid region provides an alternative anchoring
point for implants in cases of highly resorbed maxillary
ridges with insufficient bone volume. Pterygoid implants
provide increased stability and support while eliminating the
need for bone grafting procedures, which can simplify the
overall treatment process. Pterygoid implants most often
are placed using immediate loading protocols
In this program, doctors will learn pterygomaxillary
anatomy, CT scan evaluation, placement overview (position
of patient, insertion and angulation, implant placement
tools, suturing, and postoperative care), as well as
complications and their solutions.
Topics:
- Pterygoid region anatomy
- CT scan evaluation
- Step by step surgical protocol
- Case selection
- Complications and solutions

"I have been placing implants for over 7 years and found the course to be invaluable. You provided information that could be implemented after each session. The course is well structured for both the novice and the more experienced. I believe this course to be a must for anyone interested in or continuing their education in implant dentistry. You will be hard-pressed to find a more well-prepared and organized teacher. The live surgeries and hands-on portion of the course pays for itself."
